Hello and welcome to the
P.J. Gelinas Junior High School Visual
Arts Department Website. Our program is rooted in Discipline
Based Art Education (DBAE), and our students are provided with
the opportunity to experience all areas of art education including,
art production, art history, art criticism, and aesthetics.
Our program consists of a
10-week course at the 7th and 8th grade
levels. At the 9th grade level Studio Art, Media Arts, and Creative Crafts are
offered as semester-
long electives.
