Winter 2008-2009 Dear Arrowhead Families, We would like to take this opportunity to extend our wishes for a joyous, happy and healthy new year. There are many exciting happenings at Arrowhead and we would like to share with you some noteworthy news and events…. - Our winter recess starts Wednesday, December 24, 2007 and continues through Friday, January 2, 2009. School re-opens on Monday, January 5, 2009. - Our January PTA meeting will be on Thursday,January 8th at 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. - NYS ELA Assessments for grades 3 – 5 will be the week of January 12th , 2008. - School will be closed on Monday, January 19th, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. - NYS ELA Assessments for grade 6 will be the week of January 19th. - Our February PTA meeting will be a daytime one on Thursday, February 5th, at 9:30 a.m. in our cafeteria - Please remember that when the weather is appropriate, we do like having the ability to send the students out for recess. Please dress your children appropriately and in layers so that they can comfortably participate in outdoor recess. - When sending in a note requesting that your child be picked up at the reception area, we ask that you come at the time stated in your note. We want to avoid calling into the classrooms and interrupting the important instruction taking place. As a reminder, dismissal is at 3:30 p.m. To avoid confusion, please do not call ahead to the nurse or main office. Your note to the classroom teacher will be just perfect!
