Principal's Message

Welcome to a new school year!

We hope that everyone enjoyed a fun filled and relaxing summer! As you know, the building had a “makeover” this summer as upgrades connected to the bond were implemented. We are pleased that all of the major work is completed and the building will be ready for school opening on Wednesday September 3rd, 2008. All class placement information is available through the parent portal as of Monday Aug 25th. Please keep your account information for future use throughout the school year. Teacher supply lists are available here on the website.

We pride ourselves on being a family and maintaining open communication. Your 2008-2009 calendar along with portal information, the district website, PTA website, school newsletter, and automated messages reflect our focus on keeping you informed about our school. Please use these key sources for general information, but feel free to call us whenever you need your questions answered.

Your partnership and support are key elements to ensuring that we are able to maximize each student’s educational and personal development. To that end, we encourage a positive home-school relationship based on the mutual goal of providing the best learning experience possible for all of our students. Our talented faculty brings a diverse set of approaches to instruction in order to address a variety of student learning styles. You will have the opportunity to meet the faculty at our Open Houses on Tuesday September 16th (K- Gr. 2) & Monday, September 22nd (Gr. 3-6). More information will be sent home about the specific schedules for each of those evenings.

Throughout the community, there is an incredible level of excitement as everyone makes final preparations for the arrival of our children. It is with the same care, enthusiasm, and commitment that we approach the craft of teaching. As the people you have entrusted with the education of your children, we have developed a strong educational program that addresses each child’s social, emotional, and academic needs. We promote an educational environment that engages the students in meaningful work so that they develop the critical skills necessary to become independent, responsible, and productive citizens.

We wish you the best for a successful and rewarding school year!

Sincerely,
Nathalie C. Lilavois, Principal
